Stay up-to-date

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. Stories are published two or three times a week.

The Author

Charles Menzies is a long time faculty member at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Charles lives in the residential neighbourhood surrounding UBC’s academic core. As a professional anthropologist Charles does a lot of different things. You can read about some of them on his research blog. Charles is also involved in campus and community politics. For items that don’t make the grade for this newsletter you can find them here or here.

A Campus Resident

For many years UBC’s University Neighbours Association published a monthly newspaper, The Campus Resident. After its long time editor, John Tomkins, passed away the paper was paused. A Campus Resident can’t replace John’s amazing community building and local news coverage. We will do our best to step up to the challenge. Recently the UNA restarted The Campus Resident. I’ll still publish stories here, but not as frequently as I did (three times per week) during the pause.
